One Landfill, Two Cities
The landfill receives more than 80 MT of waste a day from Birgunj Metropolitan City and more than 10 MT a day from Jitpur-Simara Sub-Metropolitan City (Bara). We receive, process, operate and manage all of it.
Daily Operation
Loads are weighed and recorded by source. Waste is spread, compacted and covered with soil every day using our own track dozer, excavator, backhoe loader and roller, which keeps smell, flies and scattering down.
Recovery Before Disposal
Reusable scrap is separated and organic waste is composted, so less waste goes into the landfill cells.

Area 17 Bigha 5 Kattha (about 1,16,488 m²; Birgunj Metropolitan City report, 2025). Catchment of 3,99,689 people in 56 wards: Birgunj 2,72,382 and Jitpur-Simara 1,27,307 (Census 2021).
